At Tam Tam, children aren’t an audience. And grownups aren’t spectators.
We create joyful, welcoming spaces where everyone participates in singing, moving, playing, listening, experimenting, laughing, and discovering what happens when we make music together.
You don’t need to be a musician. Your child doesn’t need to sing in tune or sit still. You just need to show up and join in.
Because when children see the grownups they love making music, they learn something important: music belongs to them, too.
What Does a Tam Tam Class Feel Like?
Imagine a room full of children and grownups singing together. Someone is drumming. A baby is bouncing. A toddler is dancing. A preschooler is singing every word. A grownup who claimed they “can’t sing” is singing anyway.
Our teachers guide the group through a carefully designed sequence of songs, chants, movement, instrument play, and musical exploration.
We sing. We explore melody, rhythm, language, and musical patterns through a rich collection of songs.
We move. We bounce, sway, march, dance, twirl, and move to the beat.
We play. Drums, shakers, bells, and other instruments give children and grownups opportunities to explore sound, rhythm, dynamics, and musical expression.
We listen. Children learn by watching and listening as much as by actively participating. They absorb musical patterns, sounds, rhythms, and social cues from the people around them.
And yes, we laugh a lot, too! Because there are so many hilarious moments when making music with young children!

Babies don’t need to walk, talk, or play an instrument to participate in music.

Our Babies classes give infants and their grownups a gentle, joyful introduction to musical life.
MIXED-AGE: One musical community from birth through age five.
Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups make music together in the same musical circle.
Everyone participates at their own level.
For families with siblings, mixed-age classes also mean that children at different stages can make music together instead of attending separate activities.
Each week brings new songs, movement, instruments, and opportunities to connect.
And the music doesn’t stop when class ends.
Take the songbooks and music recordings home. Sing them in the kitchen. Try some Spanish lyrics. Dance in the living room. Make them part of your family’s everyday life. A favorite song may become a family memory for years to come.

We have loved attending Tam Tam Music classes for the past year! The instructions and songs are very high quality, and my daughter has the best time dancing and singing the songs in and out of class.
Tam Tam Music Together has been a highlight of our week since my little one was 3 months old! I was desperately looking for something to get us out of the apartment during winter and we just fell in love with the music, the instructors, and the wonderful community Tam Tam creates. This is our 2nd semester with Micah and we love their energy and enthusiasm!! Highly recommend doing a trial class to see how amazing it is, it will become such a joyful part of your child's life.
My daughter has been attending Tam Tam since 6months old and she absolutely loves it. It’s been a joy to see her grown musically. She constantly reaches for the Tam Tam music books when at home and requests to sing the songs, and is in such great spirits during an after classes. All the teachers there have been so wonderful. They are very accommodating of makeup classes. So grateful this exists in our community!
We love Tam Tam Music Together! Jelena is an absolute gem– such a wonderful singer & instructor, so welcoming & so expressive, joyful and warm with all of the babies (and parents!). We did the Fall session with Jelena this year (2025) starting when my daughter was ~4.5 months old. We absolutely loved the whole semester– the songbook is fun & engaging and Lou loves to listen to the songs outside of class, too. We are doing the December mini session now & have already signed up for the Winter semester mixed age class. This class has exposed Lou to so many different types of music, sounds, instruments, singing, expressions & socialization. It's such a wonderful thing to look forward to each week & it's been a joy to watch Lou fall in love with music, babble along to songs, yelp with delight during songs, befriend Jelena & make so many other baby friends, too. 10000/10 recommend!
I can’t say enough great things about Tam Tam and the music together program. Every week Jemilla brings such thoughtful pedagogy but also fun!! My son sings the songs for ages after class and the curriculum is the same for friends in different cities so they all know the same tunes. Also!! we just did a makeup class with Micah and were absolutely blown away. He’s an awesome, very very very special teacher. One class and my son still talks about him.
This was the best part of my Sunday this year! Jemilla got all the adults involved and kept her standard high so that by the end we were making beautiful music as a group. I think it was as good for me as it was for my 2 and a 1/2 year-old.
Our family has been coming to Tam Tam every available weekend since our child was a year old. Almost three years later, we’re still coming back! Jelena and Jemilla have both been excellent instructors, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch our child grow to love the songs we sing together. As an added bonus, you receive a songbook and online access to the songs for each class segment.
It’s become increasingly clear how beneficial regular exposure to music is for kids, and I’d say this class has contributed to our child’s habit of singing in bed until they fall asleep!
Worth noting: the music selection itself is fantastic—a great mix of classic American kids' songs (many of which I recognize) along with an assortment of global tunes (like a Spanish lullaby my wife’s mother used to sing to her).
We absolutely love our Tam Tam classes! Our son listens to the music throughout the week and is so excited to be a part of class. We just signed up for another semester. His love of music and dancing has been so nurtured through this class.

Our family has been attending Music Together class with Jelena for quite a few semesters now. It is easily our favorite part of the week! Jelena is an amazing educator who exudes so much warmth and love. As an early childhood educator myself, I can confidently say Jelena truly "gets" kids and is a total expert. Our daughter adores her and it has been a joy to see her grow and become so musical with Jelena's support.
I’ve been doing music classes with Jelena and Tam Tam for a couple years because we keep signing up! The classes are warm and fun with just the right amount of structure. My son loves them and it’s been great to see him evolve with the class. Highly recommend!
My seven month old daughter and I are in our second semester of Tam Tam and we love it. The babies class was perfect for her developmentally and got her to learn to love music quickly. Now that she is old enough for the mixed age class, she loves watching the older children, other babies, and parents and using her body to interact with the music more independently. We have had class with both Jemilla and Jelena and they are warm, enthusiastic, and so talented. We also love that the songs for each semester are available on the Muisc Together app—which is a life saver for long car rides and any other time my daughter needs soothing.
Our family has loved the music classes at Tam Tam. We started attending when my son was young and now his little sister is going to her own classes. Both of our kiddos have loved the songs and opportunities to try new musical instruments. Jelena is an incredibly dynamic, engaging, and compassionate teacher. It is clear from her classes that she loves what she does and she works to connect with and get to know each child in her classes. We love to play the music from classes at home and both kids (even the 9-month-old) light up when they hear the familiar songs. We highly recommend Tam Tam!
My son has been going to Jemilla's classes for over a year and they are terrific! I love that the classes are small and intimate unlike a lot of the other classes out there. Parents/caretakers also do some singing and participating which I think is fun and helps get the kids more into it. Really love Tam Tam and all Jemilla has contributed to my son's development and love of music!
We've been attending classes here regularly over the past few years, and I couldn't be more impressed. Jemilla and Jelena's gentle, patient approach creates such a welcoming environment, and they have a wonderful way of engaging with even the youngest infants. We love Tam Tam music classes! Every time our son sees Jelena and especially when she starts playing the opening songs, he gets a huge grin and starts rocking to the music. Jelena has made the class so fun for Campbell and we listen to and sing the songs all the time at home. We highly recommend!
Can’t recommend this music class enough – we started when my son was 6 months old and have been attending for 2+ years. It’s fun, interactive for kids and parents and we love the music at home as much as we do in class! Jelena is a wonderful teacher and is amazing at keeping everyone in class engaged and having fun!
Can’t recommend enough! To watch our daughter go from shy and nervous the first semester to singing the songs, playing the instruments and yelling with excitement now is so beautiful. Jelena is beyond incredible. It’s such a fun experience to do with your little ones.
We love music together with TamTam! Mila has been attending class since she was 6 months old and now as a 2 year old she sings the songs at home, loves to go to class and sings often everyday! We love Jelena and Jemilla’s classes equally! They offer different styles and they are both filled with joy and celebration making class welcoming, fun, and joyful!

We've had such a wonderful experience with Tam Tam for both of our children. My older son attended several classes over the years with Jelena and other teachers (as well as at other locations), and now our baby absolutely loves the class too. Jelena is so fun, warm and engaging. She creates a joyful environment for the kids and truly knows how to tap into their natural musical curiosity. It's been such a special part of our week. Both of my children (now 18 mo and 3) have been attending Tạm Tạm before they could walk and it’s been a staple in our weekly class rotation the past 3 years. Introducing them to music at a young age has helped them with speech, movement, and being around peers — especially helpful if they’re not yet in daycare.
Our teacher Jelena is warm and enthusiastic, and the kids love seeing her every week. Scheduling makeups or any getting into desired classes is easy and convenient online or emailing her. I highly recommend this class for babies and toddlers looking for a music class in the area!
Love Tam Tam! I've been going since my daughter was born 4 yrs ago. Both my sons attend classes weekly and love to dance and sing. Jelena is a great teacher and I highly recommend these classes for babies and toddlers.
Tam tam is a wonderful, delightful class. Yelena, the teacher, is so caring and dedicated and relentless in sharing her wisdom with care takers. My son looks forward to class every week and sings along to the songs at home. I recommend this class 10/10
Both of my children have absolutely LOVED Tam Tam Music Together with Jelena and Jemilla. Both Jelena and Jemilla are full of energy and kindness, and you can tell they absolutely love sharing music with the children. Not only do the classes have the children (and adults!) singing, clapping, dancing, and shaking along to songs in the sessions, but my children are constantly singing and dancing their way around our home and all of Brooklyn as well! This program has inspired my children's love of music–an interest that I know will continue to blossom as they grow.
My son loves his Tam Tam classes! It's a great indoor activity during the colder months. Jelena is a wonderful teacher, with great energy & she makes the class fun for all. My son has been going since he was 1 and he is about to be 20 months and is enjoying it more and more. He asks us to "sing" the book of songs at home and we all listen to the songs as a family.
We are so happy that we signed our son up for music classes with Jelena at Tam Tam. He has been going for several months now, and he absolutely loves it. When I start singing "Hello Everybody…" at home, his face lights up with a huge grin and it makes me so happy. Each class is different every week – it's not just the same several songs repeated in the same order over and over. New songs, new dances, and new toys and instruments keep it exciting! We understand how important music is for a baby's development and are thrilled to have found Tam Tam – we know our son is in great hands.
Jelena and Tam Tam are absolutely wonderful. She has helped instill a deep love of music in my son and her classes are so fun and engaging. Plus the songs are really enjoyable and not the typical annoying children's music. I cannot recommend Jelena's music classes more!
